WMMJ 102.3 Bethesda, MD

The radio tower at American University in Washington. Home to four FMs, three of which are regularly in the tops of the ratings.

The tower is about to go through a major renovation, so here are pictures before that happens.

Looking towards the top of the tower.  The top 2 bay silver antenna (Dielectric) is 95.5's backup, the three bay facing
away from the camera is 103.5, the two bay near the bottom is 102.3, and the 6 bay facing the camera is 88.5.

Another view of the 103.5 (L-Top), 102.3 (L-Bottom), 88.5 (Right) antennas.

Looking up the tower, with 89.3 on the side (10 bay), and 88.5 backup (2 bay).

Another closeup.

The American Towers nearby where sister station WKYS is located.  WMMJ has a backup combined here.

A closeup of the 93.9 antenna where 102.3 is combined into for an aux.

A closeup.

WMMJ also maintains a backup at the master Radio One backup site in North East DC.

The 1340-1450 tower on the right, has the Radio One FMs backup on top.

The top two bay Dielectric is the backup for the Radio One stations. The single bay is the former 95.9 translator.

A semi closeup of the two.
